CSI students attended an Explosives Awareness training held by the Florida Bureau of Fire Arson and Explosives Investigations which is a branch of the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services. Students traveled to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Range and were joined by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad, FBI Agents, and ATF Agents who described the types of components used to create explosives and set up and set off blast to teach students about the energy and power of a detonation and what to look for to help determine what type of explosive was used in a blast.
