Where are you from? Why did you choose to attend FSU Panama City?

I am from Panama City, Florida, and I chose to attend FSU because I wanted to attend a school with a wide range of options when deciding what to study for my education.

What inspired you to choose your degree program?
I chose Crime Scene Investigation because it offers practical knowledge in the field of law enforcement and also offers hands on experience in many different ways.

What has your experience been so far in the program?

I love being involved with crime scene investigation. It has allowed me to view the many different areas of law enforcement and how everything ties together to create a successful investigation.

What aspect of your area of study do you find most fascinating?

For me I find that the underwater crime scene investigation has been my personal favorite area of this program. It allows me to do something that many people cannot, and I get to see a wide variety of different environments while applying knowledge of crime scene investigation.

Who are the faculty or staff members that have helped or inspired you?

The faculty members who have inspired me in this field have been Mark Feulner, Charla Perdue, Adam Wendt, and Darren DeDario. They have helped me succeed.

What do you like to do when you’re not doing schoolwork?

When I am not doing schoolwork, I usually enjoy spending time diving, exercising or just spending time with friends and family.

After you graduate, what are your plans?

After I graduate, I plan on gaining my commission with the National Guard and continue my career through them as well as pursuing careers related to law enforcement or diving.

What advice do you have for fellow students?

My advice for fellow students would be that perseverance is key to a successful outcome. Nobody is perfect the first time that they do something, however, through repetition, comes experience and knowledge.
