Where are you from? Why did you choose to attend FSU Panama City? 

I’m originally from Guntersville, Alabama, a Summertown known for its beautiful lake, fishing, and water sports. I chose to attend FSU’s nurse anesthesia program over competing programs primarily for its appreciation for academia and experienced leadership. Did being located near the beach influence my decision? Absolutely not… (-;

What inspired you to choose your degree program?

I am from Freeport, Florida. I chose to attend FSU for their amazing programs and it being close to home.

I chose to pursue the MS in corporate and public communication degree after starting my non-profit when I was 16. I found a passion for branding, communications, and public relations throughout my experiences.

I have lived all over the place. I grew up in a small town in North Dakota and moved to Houston, Texas when I was 14. I just moved to Naples, Florida 3 years ago. I chose to attend FSU because I knew it was a great school. I wanted to challenge myself and I knew FSU would do that.

I have lived in Florida for most of my life, specifically Panama City. My parents, on the other hand, are originally from Jamaica. I chose to attend FSU mostly because I have an interest in Crime Scene Investigation.

Lorain, Ohio, but I have been living in Jacksonville, FL for 22 years. I chose FSU due to the law enforcement intelligence graduate program, which will prepare me for my next career path.

Sydney Reeder is a doctoral candidate in the Nurse Anesthesia program. From Dothan, AL, Sydney to study at FSU PC because she loves the small campus and it is close to home.
